For a quarter century, the Honda CR-V has been building its reputation through five generations of incredible compact crossovers. Having racked up a slew of awards and recognitions through those twenty-five years, its wasn’t until this year that Honda finally decided to add an electrified variant to the mix. Introducing the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid, available right here and now at Honda of Fife near Tacoma WA. The new CR-V Hybrid offers everything you’ve come to expect from the incredible Honda CR-V with the added bonus of its hybrid powertrain. It makes a great option for any driver look for a bit of extra space and some saving at the gas station.
The Honda CR-V has a reputation that precedes it, but now it’s been made even better by adding a variant model to the mix featuring the innovative two-motor hybrid technology that Honda has developed over the past several years. Powered by both a 2.0L Atkinson-cycle engine and an electric motor, the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid is capable of generating 212 horsepower while achieving an impressive combined fuel economy rating of 38 miles per gallon*.
In addition to the new hybrid powertrain, the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid also offers a new Hybrid Driver Information Interface, which allows you to see information like which motor(s) is supplying power to the vehicle or is instead recharging the high-voltage battery. You’ll be able to choose from three different drive modes in the CR-V Hybrid, include ECON, Sport and EV – the latter of which is powered by the electric motor only! An all-wheel drive system also comes standard on all Honda CR-V Hybrid models, while deceleration selectors on the steering wheel allow you to adjust the effect of regenerative braking on your battery.
